D-A-CH networking event
We were delighted to co-host the inaugural D-A-CH networking event at Swiss Club Cairo yesterday, in collaboration with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Egypt) and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Egypt. The event featured opening remarks by Ms.Maren Diale-Schellschmidt, CEO of AHK Egypt (D), Mr. Georg Krenn, Head of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Cairo (A), and Mr. Kamal R. ABDEL MALEK, Board President of SwissCham Egypt (CH).
Further insightful contributions were made by Mr. Alexis Below, Economic Counsellor at the German Embassy, Ms. Daniela Herta, Deputy Head of Mission at the Austrian Embassy, and Ms. Elisabeth Gilgen, Deputy Head of Mission at the Swiss Embassy.
The event provided an excellent platform for members across various industries to engage with business leaders from the three chambers, fostering new business opportunities and expanding their professional networks.
Our sincere thanks to our valued members for their participation, and to the organizing teams from all three chambers for making this event a success.

Switzerland Global Enterprise
SwissCham Egypt, represented by Ms. Sarah Al Haddad, SwissCham’s Executive Director, had the pleasure of spending a few enriching days in Zurich, where Switzerland Global Enterprise hosted representatives from over 20 Swiss Chambers of Commerce across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The event delved into crucial topics such as boosting export opportunities for Swiss SMEs, attracting foreign investment to Switzerland, enhancing collaboration between Swiss Chambers and S-GE, and fostering stronger networks among chambers.
We also enjoyed an insightful visit to Beck Automation AG, along with a tour of the stunning city of Zurich.
A sincere thanks to Mr. Stefan Barny, Ms. Parisha Nila Hakimi, and the entire S-GE team for an enlightening seminar and exceptional hospitality.

IPA has entered into a strategic partnership with the SwissCham Egypt.
SwissCham is excited to collaborate with its new strategic partner, IPA, aiming to strengthen economic and business ties between Egypt and Switzerland in addition to creating new opportunities for growth and development.
This partnership will benefit the Egyptian business sector by drawing in additional foreign investments, easing market entry, and aiding local businesses.

SwissCham’s between Egypt and Switzerland
On August, SwissCham board members Mr.Karim Twerenbold and Ms.Karen Weick, along with our strategic partner Switzerland Global Enterprise represented by Mr. Mehmet Yildirimli, had the privilege of meeting with H.E. Mr. Wael Gad, the Egyptian Ambassador to Switzerland, and H.E. Mr. Mohamed Helmy, the Counselor at the Egyptian Embassy in Bern.
The discussions addressed SwissCham’s role in facilitating business opportunities between Egypt and Switzerland, aligning with the embassy’s commitment to promoting direct private sector investment in Egypt. Additionally, updates were provided on the formation of the economic joint committee between the two countries.
We look forward to deepening our collaboration and exploring new opportunities together.

On August 1st, SwissCham celebrated Swiss National Day at the Swiss Club , with the attendance of the Swiss Ambassador H.E. Dr. Yvonne Baumann, Mr. Ruben Chirino, Dr. Omar Shafik, Swiss Club Vice President, Ms. Sara El Haddad, SwissCham’s Executive Director and Ms. Aysen Osman, Executive Director of Swiss Club.
The event provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the Swiss community in Egypt to come together, celebrating our shared values and deepening our bonds.
It was a wonderful occasion to strengthen the partnership between SwissCham and the Swiss Club, and to reflect on the strong ties between Switzerland and Egypt.
