Africa Health ExCon is the first African Medical Exhibition and Conference to be hosted by The Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical supply, and the Management of Medical Technology under the Auspices of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

This ExCon will take place annually to create a sustainable platform connecting the world healthcare distributors and suppliers to enable all healthcare partners to network as well as support the flow of trade business in the African continent. Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt

H.E. Yvonne Baumann was born in Zurich. She studied History, German literature, and Philosophy and holds a licentiate and doctoral degree (Dr. Phil.) from the University of Zurich.
She joined the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1991 and completed her diplomatic training in Bern and Budapest.

Assigned to the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation at the Foreign Ministry in Bern in 1993, her career took her on to assume the roles of Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Venezuela and then Mexico before taking charge of the Americas at the Foreign Ministry in Bern until the end of 2009.

From 2010 to 2021 Ambassador Baumann was Ambassador of Switzerland to Chile, Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, accredited as well to Timor-Leste and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and finally Ambassador of Switzerland in Colombia before her assignment as Ambassador of Switzerland in Egypt

Moataz El Hout is currently the Chairman and CEO of Nestlé North East Africa Region, a position that he has held since January 2018.

An Egyptian national, Moataz joined Nestlé in his home market in 1995 as a Brand Manager for Maggi. In 1997, Moataz moved to Australia as a Brand Manager in the Nestlé ice cream business. Upon his return to Egypt in 1999, he took several positions of increasing responsibilities leading to heading the ice cream business in Egypt in 2002. Moataz lead the ice cream in Egypt to become one of the fastest growing and most profitable ice cream business for Nestlé.

In 2005, he moved to Malaysia to Head the Nestlé ice cream business in Malaysia Singapore where he changed the Route to Market and accelerated growth. In 2008 he moved to the Headquarters in Switzerland, in Ice Cream Strategic Business Unit, responsible for the ice cream businesses in Asia, Australia and Africa.

In 2011, he moved to Ghana as Managing Director of the Nestlé business there. Moataz lead the team to establish Nestlé as the fastest growing FMCG company for four consecutive years.

In 2015, he became Vice President of Nestlé SA, Regional and Category Manager in Zone Europe, Middle East and North Africa. His regional role was covering, Middle East, Iran, Turkey, North Africa and Nordic European Region. Moataz was also responsible for the Dairy Category across Zone EMENA.

Before joining Nestlé Moataz worked in a Regional food company with assignments in Egypt & Saudi Arabia.

Moataz Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from The American University in Cairo.

José-Manuel Valentim is currently Director Africa Operations for Varian Oncology Systems and a member of the Global Education Solutions Leadership team. José-Manuel has developed and led the EMEIA Education Solutions team for over 10 years for Varian Oncology Systems.

Prior to joining African Leadership team, José-Manuel was Director of the EMEIA-APAC Market Development team, working closely with government officials on establishing Cancer Programs in South-East Asia and Africa.

With his clinical background in Radiotherapy and completed Public Health Management post-grade, José-Manuel has been well positioned in defining cancer programs, first at his County Health Ministry level before enlarging his focus into low-middle income countries.

José-Manuel received his Bachelor in Radiotherapy from University of Lausanne, Switzerland before specializing in both Dosimetry and Brachytherapy in Netherlands and France. He then pursued and completed his specialization in Public Health Management from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Magdy El Ekiaby

Dr. Magdy El-Ekiaby obtained an MD degree from Cairo University in 1978. He has been a member of Egypt’s National Board of Blood Transfusion, Ministry of Health & Population since 1986 and is serving as a member of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Executive Team, responsible for Arab Transfusion Medicine Forum. He is a member of the organizing Committee of ISBT Working Party on Transfusion Transmitted Diseases and has chaired the Scientific Committee of the XIXth ISBT Cairo Regional Congress, Europe and East Mediterranean, 2009. He is also a Board of Directors member of the World Federation of Hemophilia since 2010. Dr. El Ekiaby has served the hemophilia community in Egypt since 1985, both through his profession as a hematologist and blood transfusion specialist, and as a member of the board and Vice President of the Egyptian Society of Hemophilia. Dr. El Ekiaby is currently the Head of Blood Transfusion & Hemophilia Centre, Shabrawishi Hospital, a position held since 1983.
